When you enroll, you pick a plan based on your typical electricity use. We match your plan with renewable energy certificates (RECs), the standard way renewable energy generation is tracked and verified in the United States — and permanently log them to your account on your behalf.
Your dashboard shows the clean energy you've helped add to the grid, the emissions avoided, and how your participation contributes to a more sustainable Westchester.
What this is not:
What it is:
One household moves a small needle. Thousands of households doing it together signals to utilities, municipalities, and policymakers about where Westchester stands. Here's what 1% enrollment looks like.
Projections based on Westchester County ACS household data and standard 7 RECs/subscriber/yr. 1 REC = 1 MWh of renewable energy. Actual figures will vary.
Every municipality in Westchester has a Green My Power score, updated as households enroll. The more your community participates, the higher it climbs.

From your electricity use to a verified clean energy record — here's the chain of impact your subscription creates.
Every home and business draws electricity from a grid that still relies heavily on fossil fuels. This reflects the current energy mix in the region.
Wind and solar farms generate renewable electricity. For every 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) produced, one Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) is issued as proof that clean energy was added to the grid.
RECs based on your estimated electricity usage are retired in a public registry — a permanent, verifiable record that clean energy was generated on your behalf.
Your personal dashboard shows the clean energy you support, where it came from, the CO₂ you helped avoid, and your community's collective progress.
Green My Power RECs are sourced from verified renewable facilities. The project shown here reflects current sourcing - your exact certificates, confirmed by serial number, are documented in your account. The specific project may vary over time.
A simple, predictable way to support renewable energy. Help put your municipality on the county record. Enroll in under 5 minutes.
